The south part of Israel is the Negev. This area is a desert. There are mountains, small rivers, craters, and very little population. I love this area very much. My quilt describes one part of the Negev — the Ramon Crater. This crater has colorful layers of rocks, many cracked stones, and a lot of dry plants. In the last few months, the Israeli government has made plans to build a new city in this area, but the Green Movement is fighting these plans. I hope nobody will interfere with the beauty of our Negev.
