Apparent in many forms, decay documents the longevity of buildings, bridges, and our bodies. We look in a mirror and see the lines that are proof of our living with sorrow and joy. We look at the underside of a bridge and see the decay wrapped in rust. Buildings slowly give way to the test of time. Decomposition is a celebration of living and being. What remains from decay can indicate strength, endurance, and longevity, allowing us to appreciate the passage of time.
